Our main business is in the aquisition of reclaimed or salvaged architectural antique items, antiques and aged or vintage materials , their removal , collection , refurbishment, stocking , marketing and sale across the UK and Europe. We do this by advertising on the internet to the general public and supplying via other specialised firms and contractors including interior designers , architects, builders and contractors and specialist resellers.
Areas of speciality within the above as as follows -
Product Rental - We are happy to hire ANY and all of our products to Weddings, Events , FILM & Theatre Groups etc , goods can be supplied and collected by us and indeed if you need a special item manufactured we are happy to undertake this sort of project as well.
Doors Sourcing , Refurbishment and Supply - We have around 1000 doors in stock at anytime of EVERY style and design, we can select doors to your specific requirements and supply photographs and descriptions , before finishing to your requirements and shipping cost effectively across the UK.
Paint Stripping Services - To complement the above we offer the in-house removal of paint and varnish with many years experience available to ensure your item is returned in good condition. Aside from doors we remove paint from antique, vintage and period furniture, fireplaces, radiators and metal goods. We have built up a solid reputation with Churches , Local developers and Landlords who bring us regular business.
Bespoke Furniture and Items - We have an on-site workshop where we can use our own reclaimed materials and timber to produce bespoke items for a growing customer base.Please see the 'Bespoke' tab in the products guide of this site for further details but basically we can produce bespoke firesurrounds , cupboards , tables , pews , settles, wardrobes , doors , TV-stands , vanity units , bathrooms sets , steps , mirrors , in fact pretty much anything you can think of. We add embellishments from our extensive stock lines to produce truly unique pieces to EXACTLY fit their application , space and budget. If you have an idea or have seen something in a magazine or on your travels , bring in the article or a photo with some measurements of where it has to fit and we can take it from there.
Brick & Tile Library and Sourcing Service - We have an on-site brick and tile library of regularly stocked goods that you can bring in samples to gain a match with. We also offer an identification and sourcing service for the same. Please send us a photo in the first instance and we can start from there.
Fireplace Services - We have over 100 fires in stock at any time with 40+ on show ready to sell at any time. Aside from HETAS qualified staff to advise you correctly while evaluating your options we also offer HETAS REGISTERED fitters who can undertake installation and sign-off.
Delivery Services - We can ship effectively across the UK and into Europe if required. We can offer weekly shipments South into London and the surrounding area and reasonably regular schedules North and West , East would need a bigger boat !!. Buy with confidence , we will ensure your goods arrive timely and safely where and when you need them.
1) Remote Ordering :
We have continued to trade on the WEB and Telephone , taking orders ; payments by card/transfer and delivering across the UK by pallet, parcel or our regular delivery van. Please contact us to place your order under this service.
2) Personal Shopping:
R&SCo now offer our 'Personal Shopper' option.
Please contact us with your needs/project details/wish list/shopping list. One of our family members will then work with you, personally, on that project. Sourcing from our extensive stocks , sending photos to you and liasing with you over options, comparative product pro's and con's. You comment , agree , reject , decide and approve and we can then proceed with remote order and delivery as usual. Personal attention and decades of experience to assist you in making the best choice.
3) Visit -
We have general opening at out Tinkers Barns NR34 7LB site on Wednesdays 10am - 4pm and Saturdays 10am - 2pm
Visits by Appointment can be arranged at Tinkers Barns for other weekdays and our old site , North Sea House is only open by appointment while remaining stocks are being removed.
Visit rules -
a) all visitors will be required to hand sanitize (with washes provided) upon entering and leaving premises.
b) Bring your own tape measures please, we will not be loaning them.
c) Maintain 2m distancing from staff at all times.
